Focus and shortcuts
Understand focus suspension, menu search, zoom shortcuts, quitting, and appearance resets.
Control the focus check
Debug > Debug Diagnostics > CS2 Focus Check is enabled by default. While another window has focus, the application clears the game overlay, suspends synthetic input, and stops processing gameplay keybinds. Input modules resume when CS2 regains focus.
The settings menu remains available while CS2 is unfocused. A running web radar continues receiving snapshots, and its start and stop controls still work. See Web radar.
Turn off CS2 Focus Check if you need overlay rendering and input processing to continue without CS2 focused. Save the profile through Config > Save to keep that choice.
Search and resize the menu
These shortcuts apply while the settings menu has keyboard focus:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
Ctrl+F or Ctrl+K | Open or close settings search. |
Up / Down in search | Select a result. |
Enter in search | Open the selected result. |
Esc in search | Close search. |
Ctrl+= or Ctrl with keypad + | Increase menu scale by five percentage points. |
Ctrl+- or Ctrl with keypad - | Decrease menu scale by five percentage points. |
Ctrl+0 or Ctrl with keypad 0 | Reset menu scale to 100%. |
Menu scale stays between 75% and 200%. You can also choose a scale under Config > Menu Appearance. Scale and appearance changes save automatically in _settings.json.
While capturing a keybind, the menu captures the next key before processing search or zoom shortcuts. Finish capture first. See Keybinds.
Quit the application
Config > Menu Appearance > Ctrl+Q Quits App is enabled by default. With it enabled, Ctrl+Q requests application shutdown when gameplay input processing is active.
The focus check runs before this shortcut. With CS2 Focus Check enabled, focus CS2 before pressing Ctrl+Q. With the check disabled, the shortcut can run while another window is focused.
To quit from the settings menu while CS2 is unfocused, use Config > Close Program > Unload.
Reset menu appearance
Click Config > Menu Appearance > Reset Menu Appearance to restore default colors, 100% scale, and animation preferences. The reset also turns Ctrl+Q Quits App back on. It preserves which feature sections are collapsed.
The reset updates menu preferences automatically. It does not reset gameplay settings or change the selected startup profile. See Configuration for the distinction between profiles and _settings.json.
